A simple bracelet made from a wonderfully soft velvet ribbon and embroidered with silk ribbon.

Copper flowers necklace

I made this for a swap, hope the receiver likes it!

Autumn rose

A brooch in Autumn colours I made for a crafts swap.

Beautiful fairy

A gift from Singapore, sent by the lovely Simone. I immediately fell in love with the crystals and beautiful fairy!

Mittens

I love this sort of fingerless gloves and the stitch which I used, it's really elastic.

Plastic bag purse

Supermarket bags get a new use! Cut to thin pieces and then crocheted to make this purse for my mom.

Set in red

A set of necklace and earrings.

Glass magnets for AFECTU

AFECTU - Associação dos Felinos E Caninos Todos Unidos is an associacion of people who care about animals in the Aveiro area. A few days ago it was assaulted, vandalized and some of the animals were harmed.

These little magnets were my small contribution to raise some money so that AFECTU can continue providing shelter to homeless animals.

Black is cool

Crochet fingerless gloves, done in a very stretchy fantasy stitch. They tie at the elbow with satin ribbon.

Purple flower necklace

Another necklace. Crocheted central flower and chain and ceramic beads.

Portugal brooch

Since football (soccer) fever is in the air and no one's immune, there's no reason why a lady can't show support to the national team and still be elegant. :)

Cross-stitch medieval scene

Finally done! It only took 17 years to finish! (ok, since I'm always changing moods I only did a bit on the holidays!) It's now in my living room and I love it! It measures 1m by 21 cm.

This was lent to me by a friend and I'm sorry but I CAN'T SEND IT TO YOU.

A more romantic room

My new room needed a bit more of a personal touch, so I made this from some old curtains, ribbons and beads.

Slowly things are falling into place, now I only need to do something about the 3 other walls! :)

Tiny purse

I just love that stitch, it forms a really cute wavy relief. This is really small, just enough to hold the cell phone or card holder.

Blue, blue, blue

This one went to Singapore, it's such a small world! :)

Two pinks top

A nice and fresh top for the warm weather coming soon.

Red set

Brooch and earrings.

Grey and green brooch

A flower brooch, with central glass stone and embroidered seed beads.

Spring-time brooches

Like I had promised, I got back to ribbon embroidery. I absolutely love the combination of the rough burlap with the delicate silk ribbons.

Artes e Artistas - Spring swap

My first swap! My secret friend Lilith, I hope she liked my gifts!

And what I got from Coisas-da-Ana, isn't it all so cute? The painting is already hanging in my room and the napkins are so cute maybe it's time I take up "decoupage" too!

Sunday 23 April 2006

Red rose

Full of Spring feelings, I took up ribbon embroidery again. This is for a special friend but I'm considering doing some more.

Olive oil soap - cinnamon

Hot process cinnamon soaps, smell marvellously of cinnamon and are slightly exfoliating.

Shades of pink

A pillow cover. A bed cover would look great too, although quite heavy.

Long necklace

Long chain necklace with crystals and faux pearls.

Thursday 30 March 2006

Olive oil soap - chocolate

Another experience making cold process soap, this took a heavy dose of black chocolate and just a bit too much water.

Wednesday 29 March 2006

Olive oil soap - neutral

I'm having lots of fun making this 100% olive oil cold process soaps. My family owns century old olive trees and has been making olive oil for generations. which mean that for me olive oil is actually a base ingredient to which I have easy access.

Maybe I should have used a bit more water because it didn't exactly conform to the shape of the yoghurt cup I used, but I think it actually adds to its rustic charm. :)

Olive oil soap - big and small

100% olive oil cold process soaps made in yoghurt cups. I think they look really cute!

Old style blouse

Another one of my Summer blouses, entirely handmade. I really like how it turned out, especially the crocheted sleeves.

Olive oil soap - cinnamon

Another soap pie! :)
