Purple's fashionable

Still experimenting with the metal rings. 1mm aluminium wire and acrylic beads, they're super light.

Chibi Vincent Valentine

You already know I love Final Fantasy and Vincent in particular, no need to repeat myself. :)
It seems like nowadays I only get any drawing finished, no matter how simple it is, if it's a gift for someone. This is a birthday card for a friend who shares my passion for the Final Fantasy world.
Drawn on paper, scanned and coloures in Photoshop.
2009 new year resolution: get back to drawing and painting again!

Neck warmer

A simple crocheted neck warmer. I fell in love with that yarn as soon as I saw it at the store! :) This was a birthday gift for a good friend. Looks maybe a bit too large for her neck, but I that's because she was in her night gown here! :))

Hand warmer

What do you do when you're stuck at home because of a bad ear infection? I decided to make these hand warmers in red (to go with the neck warmer) but there was no way I could make the yarn enough, that's how they ended up with this colour combination not much to my liking.

Elven necklace

Inspired by The Lord of Rings (don't ask exactly in what, but the idea came to mind when I was browsing through some drawings inspired by the books and movies), a very light necklace that flows like fabric. Made from a multitude (I've stopped counting) of 1mm aluminium rings, with 5mm internal diameter each, in european chain maille 4-in-1. Aluminium's not only extremely light but also imitates silver quite well, if it begins to tarnish you only have to put the necklace in a jar with a handful of rice and shake it until it's bright again.

Man's bracer

Chainmaille bracelet, 2mm aluminium wire, never rusts or becomes dull. It's adjustable from about 18cm to 22cm and super light, only weights 28grs!

Vincent's heart

I'm a die hard fan of FFVII and anything related, especially Advent Children. This is my small tribute to one of my favourite characters of all times: Vincent Valentine, who can always touch my goth heart! :)
Beads, glass, crystals, etc. I should have used brass instead of stainless steel (the fans will know why), but I didn't have any available.

Romantic heart

Another heart made of stainless steel, silver plated wire, beads, quartz, pearls, etc. It's approximately the same size as the blue one.

Walnut flowers

What to do when you have too many walnuts? I suggest walnut cake and these flowers, which always go well in a bouquet.

Heart of sky

Stainless steel wire, ceramic and glass beads, quartz, etc. Basically, anything blue (and white) I found in my little box of beads.

Chainmaille bracer

Another chainmaille piece. Over 1500 rings, all handmade by me. 0,9mm wire, ID of 3,5mm. Not available, but I'll take orders for this kind of piece.

Burgundy choker

I enjoyed making the previous set so much that I had to make another choker, this one in a more burgundy shade. The choker itself is made of macrame.

Nonô set

Crochet and fabric set for a friend who really wanted me to make her a red flower! ;) (the real colour is from the upper photo, the other's too rosy due to the flash). Set includes choker, brooch and hairpin.

Maggie brooch

Uma prendinha para uma e-amiga muito especial.

A little gift for a very special e-friend.

Chainmaille bracelet

My first try at european 4-in-1 chainmaille. Over 700 rings, all made and cut by me (this took forever, I can't exactly tell how long!). 0,9mm wire, internal diameter (ID) of 3,5mm. Not available, but I'll take orders for this kind of piece.

Copper belt

Byzantine chain belt, all the rings were handmade by me. Measures about 1m and can be fastened using any of the larger rings.

The woman in the moon

Acrylic and watercolour on canvas. This was a commissioned piece done according to the client's own words: "I like blue, no reds at all. I like stars, the sun and the moon but would like something abstract unless it's the naked human body". I tried to get inspiration from her words and really hope she liked the result. :)

Fabric leftovers tote

A tote bag made from leftovers from the sewing industry.

Burgundy vest

I love crochet vests! :) The photo doesn't really show well the type of stitch used.

19 forever!

I've been neglecting my blog a lot, this drawing was made in the beginning of the year (I know, many months ago), but only now did I feel like posting it here.
It's been a long time since I last drew something, so it was a great pleasure doing this as a birthday card for a friend (that's her, the blondie in the middle!).
I'm offering an Internet cookie to whoever identifies the show/characters! ;)))
